Dear School Administrator,

I love America, and I love my home state of Texas.

As a Texan, I know that unfortunately we have the lowest (51st, if D.C. is included) high school graduation rates in the entire nation.
Could you please explain to me...

1) When we are dead last, why it is a bad thing that the AMERICAN President speak to our children regarding
staying in school and getting a good education?

2) Why, as an educator, don't you want the children to be encouraged to stay in your own school system?

3) Is it OK with you that we are last? I thought we were "number one."

4) I would like to know what kind of procedures were followed when Presidents Reagan and Bush had similar programs broadcast.
Did the school participate? Was it considered bad?

I suspect they've heard from all the "other" parents who are opposed to their children hearing Obama...

And they aren't about to rock the boat.
