Dorm and general college rules of conduct. Got any weird or stupid ones?

I went to a Baptist college. I had to sign a pledge -- that applied for wherever I was, not just on campus, and applied over the summer if I was registered for next year -- that I would not drink, use tobacco or drugs, dance, play cards, go to movies, etc. Seriously. I also had to wear dresses to class and on lower campus M-F until 5:00 PM. Jeans were not permitted except on the weekends.

perhaps they should have saved time and made a list of what was allowed.

young students could enjoy. Bible studies everywhere. Board games and UNO (we were allowed THOSE cards) in the lounge. Parties sprang up in the lounge every now and then. We had basketball (M&W), women's volleyball, softball, baseball, and men's soccer games to enjoy. Intramural sports. And they showed us select sanctioned movies every now and then in the cafeteria (no student union until my last year). I remember them running "The Creature From The Black Lagoon." We also got a special screening of "Chariots of Fire," since that one was fraught with Christian principle.

It wasn't all unrelieved grimness. And I was a true believer, and wouldn't have engaged in any of that "illicit" behavior anyway.

Oh, I forgot to mention that PDAs, with the exception of holding hands, were strictly forbidden. And the dorms were not coed.

Although, people got around that by keeping the funnel and plastic tubing seperate until they needed to use it. One could have a funnel and plastic tubing, those were legit, but put them together, and you had contraband.

Fridges must be under 3 cubic feet and consume less than 900 watts.
Extension cords must be at least 16 AWG.
No open flames (microwave ovens were okay).
No explosives. :(
Syringes must be properly disposed of in the "sharps" box.

Strictly. As in: if you get caught putting soap in the world's ugliest fountain, you get expelled.

I should go over there and put soap in the fountain now that I've graduated. :D
