What do you do when a small man threatens to punch you?

Lately, small men seem to be all about threatening and insulting me. Not sure what to make of it. Feel a little like a St Bernard being yapped at by a pug. Which is even more accurate when you consider how I drool when I eat. And how ugly these guys have been.

Keeps the bruising down when they pummel your kneecaps with their tiny fists.

Short Guy disease is such a nuisance...

If they can't harm your balls, and you're careful to keep them away from your kneecaps, then you don't have to worry about cheap shots. Then tell them to "Go ahead. Make my day. Shrimp." If they throw the first punch, you can legally defend yourself.

Besides, beating the crap out of them is a useful life lesson. Tells them that people won't put up with their posturing, without ruining their lives by getting them arrested. (A former roommate of mine would be much better off if someone had taught him that lesson long ago.)

None of them ever do it in person. Plus that's just mean.

Sometimes it can be hard to tell, and I thought about how a short person might feel after I wrote this, and felt a little guilty.

We were in upper michigan hunting and we were in a bar.He decided to hustle some guy at pool for beer money...like 20 bucks and instead got hustled.He refused to pay and challenged this like 5 foot 5 130 pound dude.

When he woke up in the hospital he asked what happened

was early in middle school. At that time, my friend, half my size took offense at something, I cant even remember what, and attempted to demonstrate what he had learned in his karate classes. I sat on him until his mom came and made him stop trying to hit me.

But I'm kinda a pacifist now. I struggle with it, because when something gets my goat, my temper can rise, but it has nowhere to go. on top of that, its been many years since anyone ever threatened me, and now in the space of a few weeks, several dipwads have come forth. I think its because I stopped letting peoples Racist/stupidist bullshit slide by on face book. I don't know what to make of it. Am I supposed to pretend to be intimidated, or bluster back, or ignore them, or what?

I just have to laugh at the *i'm such a badass* routine.

As I said, haven't had a physical fight in many years. And no training ever. Only thing Ive got is size. And I didn't make any threats towards either of them, before or after they offered me threat of violence. I'm not quite sure what to make of it all. Whats the point of threatening someone in another state(in one case) or country (in the other)?

he is old and still pumped and doesnt have to do much work for it. just how he is. pretty laid back too, for most part, until he gets so mad, and well... holds it in with nowhere to put it, until he doesnt anymore. he had told me in past no need to be "fearful" of things

us people that cant fight people like you and him get mad too. we have temper that rises and nowhere to go too. you comment is almost a right to let that temper go.... regardless of size but all of us that cannot physically take on someone your size has had to learn to expend temper in appropriate and safe manner, just as you have to

secondly, it is easy for someone huge and able to physically defend self to not be fearful. not so for the rest of us

another point on this post of yours (i find fascinating), being female, pacifist, yet aggressive, i dont know how to pretend intimidated. i have come across men that try to intimidate and i go on putting in place until i realize.... sheeeit, i am suppose to be intimidated. fuck me. lol

I am big. My sister is little. Thus, she has bony little fists and elbows, and never felt any need to hold back when horsing around. I expect that anyone watching the 2 of us recreate WWF scenes would have been quite amused, but little people can inflict unexpected pain. Good lesson to keep in mind.

People usually leave me alone. I think I have an anti-person field around me sometimes. Part of it I think is due to being built very broad and deep and having a neutral facial expression that people interpret as being slightly irritated...most men my height have about 8-9" less width to their shoulders. I am often thought of as being over 6' tall when I am a mere 5'10". Weird since I'm really rather friendly.

Unless they know me, people tend to leave me alone. Which, as you say, is wierd. Anyone who knows me knows I am a teddybear. Its this whole internet thing. People get brave when they assume you live in Canada and assume you have the border between you and them.

She kicks a lot of ass and I never quiver at her rates. She gives me a good deal short subjects because she only has to kick them half-assed.

Actually that might work for any size man. He will either believe you and scamper away or, more likely, will laugh at you and buy you a beer.

It's been happening to me for decades. I was 5'10 in 3rd grade and dumb small men have been trying to fight me ever since. I either usually mock them, walk away or rarely if I have a hankering and they truly deserve it, I hit them.
