1. it's techno/electronica night on my station
I'm probably a little old for it, but it doesn't bother me to half listen to it. If I was younger I would probably love to go dress weird and dance all night.

So it doesn't really make me happy per se but it is OK.

Or Cracklin' Rosie:) Wait, then there's Ring Of Fire or Rebel Yell (Idol). Yeah, that works for me.:)

P.S. I'm going to the Packers/Bears game Sunday night, and if the Pack beat the BEars, I know they'll play YMCA or Hit The Road Jack! Woo hoo!

11. It sounds like it to me

they call it "American roots music with a rock and roll attitude." it's a bit of a hybrid. I don't listen to much bluegrass, but I dig this tune! :)

6. I used to love to listen to Appalachian Spring
when I was about 16 or 17 years old. I used to listen to it over and over. It was the kind of music I liked when I was in love. So many different moods--peace, joy, sorrow--like love itself.

Tonight I've been watching performances from the Midnight Special: Roy Orbison, David Bowie, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Al Green, Labelle. It's like the 1970s all over. Kind of cheesy to look at but fun to listen to.

9. I'm currently listening to Ted's eulogy for Bobby.
Edited on Sat Sep-12-09 01:08 AM by EastTennesseeDem
A couple minutes ago I was listening to:

Edited to add: Appalachian Spring was at one point my all-time favorite piece of music. I would listen to it over and over and over again. I first heard it when one of my elementary school classes had a field trip to see the Nashville Symphony and got hooked.

10. My dear EastTennesseeDem...
Ah, I didn't hear the eulogy...it must have been heart-breaking.

I love Appalachian Spring too...don't remember where I heard it first, but my parents were always big classical music lovers...

Thanks for coming by tonight!

13. Thank you for posting that.

I dream things that never were and say why not."

So beautiful and profound. I haven't had the heart to listen to Bobby's eulogy since Teddy's death. I'm glad I did. :hi:
