my wifes 2007 impala has a shot rack and pinion. It's about $700 to fix.

She called gm this morning and even though it isn't under warrenty they agreed to fix it free of charge and give her a rental for free for a week because..their words..* it just shouldn't have went out that fast and we have to make this right*

Cudo's to gm for doing the right thing

2. been a loyal gm owner for..well...that long
my last like 10 or so cars were gm's.

They can be aggravating but they fool me and act right sometimes.

I like my gm's

4. Was this a dealership acting right...
...or someone farther up the chain? When you say "GM," I don't think dealer.

Either way it's cool.

7. Did they give any reason as to why it wore so quickly?
Manufacturing defect, or defective parts? Just curious.
