3. At the '68 Democratic Convention, I actually played the role of Abbie Hoffman.
He had a bit of the trots, and asked me to fill in for him. After two days, he came back and took over, and I went home and helped Charles Manson with a project he was working on, then off to write a guide for Jerry Garcia about how to get rid of Pigpen without tracing it to him.

This has never been publicly divulged before.
