I have an audio file (MP3) that I want to post...

It's me reading a poem...

But I have no clue as to how to do it!

Can anyone help?

1. You need Web space, for starters...

...then you can just upload the file, provide the link, and when people click on it, it will prompt the browser plugin (like QuickTime) to play it, or give the choice to download it.

Sites like Photobucket don't allow MP3 uploads for copyright reasons.

Most ISPs give you at least a tiny bit of Web Space...who's yours?

...Web Site files are on a computer, and when you click a link, you send a request to that computer for it to send those files to you.

So if you have an MP3 that you want to share, it needs to be "somewhere"...

...the photos you see in many of the posts on DU are in the users' Photobucket accounts. They have files on their computers that they want to share, so they upload them to Photobucket's computers (their Web Space), and in turn send them back when a DUer posts a thread and includes a link.
