41. Me too!
Only I want to bust some Republicans

I think it would be cool to tell Karl Rove I was going to put my left foot on the right side of his face, and there ain't and thing he could do about it.

I think I would like to develop musical talent. I always wanted that talent and women seem to admire those with it.

6. I'd like to be a monster Hammond B3 player
I love the electric guitar and have been playing it for 35 years, but I have always been mesmerised by a great Hammond player and their instrument. Truly the most unique sound in rock and roll.

I'd want to be a much better poet than I currently am...

Why? Just for once in my life to be able to have something I excelled at. For once, not to be second best.

43. Piano!
I have dreams where I sit at a piano and play magnificently. I've never owned a piano, but we had my grandmother's pump organ in the living room when I was a kid. Once had a small Wurlitzer organ, but I've never been able to learn to read music; I can dink around by ear on guitar and a keyboard, but the dreams are always about a piano. So.

18. sculpture or on a smaller scale gemstone/jewelry design
Edited on Mon Sep-14-09 04:55 PM by pitohui
why ask why? i know i would hate any performing art and be miserable because i lack the "look at me" gene -- you can be a great talent like kurt cobain and still be miserable if you can't take the public eye -- so we can eliminate any performing art from consideration right off the bat

arts where you're allowed to be cranky, surly, and hidden from the public, i'd actually probably enjoying being wildly talented at any of those, be it writing, painting, etc.

but i would particularly love to be able to create certain sculptures or jewels, and i really do not have the ability to do so in the slightest -- i'm an "OK" writer, painter, photographer, sold quite a bit of writing over the years (mostly nonfiction) and even a few photos, and my painting is good enough for home purposes...the sculpture is something i would love to do but simply can't get there from here unless you want to wave a magic wand over me

28. have you tried "drawing on the right side of the brain"
you would be surprised at how helpful it is, if you work the exercises you should see huge improvement in your drawing

you might never be able to toss off a simple flowing easy drawing like picasso but you can at least get it good enough to make sketches

unfortunately over the years i have developed some sort of hand tremor and have lost all my improvements and most of my penmanship. i may revisit the course and see if there is anyway to recover some level of these skills.

26. If I had to pick just one
it would have to be music. As much as I love the written word, and as much as I wish I could write at an epic level like some of my favorite authors, I have ALWAYS been enthralled by good music. Since I was a child I have wished for the talent and time to produce it. Sadly, though not overly so, the universe brings other, very different, opportunities my direction.

I write all the time, and I've had one short novel published, but I would love to be a legendary author that's remembered for all time. :)

If I couldn't do that, then I'd like to be a singer.

And for those that don't see that as artistry, try to stand in the box and hit one.

It is a thing of beauty to witness.

42. I'd love to be a great writer
Like a PP said, I lack the "look at me" gene. I don't like being stared at, so the performing arts are out for me.

To write, to be able to tell stories that'd fill the minds, move the emotions and lit the imaginations of others....what a gift.

I used to be able to draw quite well, to the point that I thought I'd be an artist.

Sometime, years ago, something died within and I never drew again.
