Okay, somebody explain why Beyonce's video was so great

Okay, somebody explain why Beyonce's video was so great
I'll start with my disclaimer: I'm 50 years old. No need to go further into why I don't understand this.

I watched the Beyonce video, and I honestly don't see what makes it great. I don't really like the song (but the message is a good one), and the video doesn't seem to bring anything new to the table.

Beyonce showed real class, and I have to say I think she was awesome with her thoughtful response at the awards. I'm not bashing her at all -- just trying to understand what makes a great music video these days.

She even discusses the video with Fosse's wife and the other two women.

28. I think that Gwen Verdon would be thrilled that Beyonce was
inspired by her dance. She just seemed like that type of artist.

disclaimer-she should have had her moment. But this video come on , havent we seen this a million times guy likes cheerleader and not the dork/girl next door (who is just as hot but wears glasses) and finally ends up with her. Do y'Beyonce isn't my style either but find her a better talent
Lady Gaga is not my style either but her creativity showmanship and use of visuals should have got her the award


I like country damn it real country with genuine emotional honesty not fluff

10. of all videos this year, it had the greatest effect on pop culture
it was probably parodied the most, with everybody from Justin Timberlake on SNL to 1000 people on youtube donning leotards and dancing around to it.

That may not make it great, but it obviously struck a chord with a lot of people.

21. I think it's a good video but not "one of the best videos of all time"
I really don't like Taylor Swift's song or video at all but I often don't agree with the winners of these kinds of things. Anyway Tayler handled herself very well for such a young girl and Beyonce was beyond cool during this whole thing. (By the way...Kanye has apologized three times, time to drop it and move on with our lives)

Accordingly, the fucking asshole got liquored up and showed Taylor Swift the sort of disrespect he'd never tolerate himself. He's the biggest asshole in show business.
