I had a close encounter with a western cottonmouth while out taking pics today (pic heavy)
He kept his defensive posture long enough to get a shot, but as I zoomed out to get his entire body he took off into the grass.

Got a couple of purdy leaves too!

1. Oh wow, I remember seeing one of those on Mutual of Omaha's
Wild Kingdom many moons ago. That image really left an impression on me.
