LENO's humor has a Mad Magazine immaturity to it, esp. when he 'does' Ahhhnuld's accent

The pace of the new show seems slow, and all the supporting "reporters" doing video bits don't help. I always will like Dave more, but this new time slot for LENO fits into my schedule really well, meaning that I'm probably going to be seeing more of his stuff than anybody else's, unfortunately.

This thread is a slur on the fine people at Mad Magazine.

I can't pinpoint the particular characteristics within the fineness of Mad that stands out for me, something having to do with predictability of the joke, how it goes step by step like a computer program, not leaving out a step, something like that.

But, so long as I've stepped into it, might has well loop the Mad t.v. show in here, too: Years ago somebody here said Mad t.v. was much funnier than SNL. I had only seen snippets of it, then started seeing long stretches of the re-runs, and jeebus are some of those actors with their recurring characters ANNOYING. Michael whassisname MacDONALD as that Kid, and the woman doing the Chinese woman, and others. Aries SPEARS is versatile and under-estimated since I don't hear anything about him anywhere and is not annoying. Bobby LEE and Ike Barinholtz are *not* annoying.

But my real point is that I will probably be spending more time on something I'm not that crazy about just because of the time slot.
