4 Day School Week?
Our district is looking into this as a cost cutting measure. Does anyone have any experience or first hand knowledge on the topic?
? ?
Thanks!

3. I would love it!
Not being considered here, though. They just cut our supplies and textbooks instead.

5. No but when I was in 5th grade my elementary school was so
over crowded we went to a year round schedule called 45-15. 45 days in school then 15 days off. It sucked and I never figured out how it helped with over crowding since the class cycles overlapped. Thank goodness they only did it for one year. In 6th grade we were back to a normal schedule.

Would the four days be longer days and how will working parents deal with no school on Friday?

7.  Dunno
I am wondering if the district is seeing that day as potential new revenue in the form of paid daycare.
