There appears to be trouble brewing over the marching route. I'm coming armed with my camera and notebook to document things without becoming a target myself. I've tried carrying a sign and shooting at the same time and it's awkward at best.

With all the controversy brewing of "The Passion," perhaps jesus should make an appearance. ;-)

There's problems over the march route to Federal Plaza. The rally is cool, but organizers want a route down Michigan Avenue and the city denied the permit, offering a less-used route instead.

So, they marchers have vowed to use the sidewalks instead — and you don't need a permit for that. I'm sure the upscale shoppers along the Mag Mile will be thrilled.

Haven't heard anything about Crawford, but I think that will be cool. Just keep your head down and stay toward the edge of the crowd so you have an escape route in case things start to turn ugly.
