A choose-your-own-adventure birthday for me.

I could have gone to a Mets game with my son, husband and in-laws today. They had a box. But I chose to send my son to the game with my in-laws and have my husband to myself. (He's resting now.) ;-)

We had a wonderful morning alone in the house. Then we went to lunch and to the movies. We went 1/2 an hour early so we could spend some quarters in the game room, get goodies and be the first people to pick out seats. This is the way I love to see a movie. We saw Zombieland which was freaking excellent.

Now I have some time to goof around uninterrupted, and when I'm done, I'll still be alone in the house with my sweetie because my son and his cousin are spending the night at Grandma's. Life is grand. It may sound a bit boring, but it's exactly how I want to spend my day.

You all know I'm crazy about my little boy, but it sure is great to get him out of the house now and then.

BTW, my husband is not into sports so I didn't deprive him of anything.

I've had a fairly lazy B-day so far. I went golfing with a friend this morning. Now I'm going to go get a haircut/shave and shop for a couple shirts.

Then I'm going to get trashed tonight.
