Question about recommends here

Ok a lot of stuff here goes right over my head here but I thought you couldn't recommend posts here. However I see threads here with multiple recs, one here today with +22. Seems there's a bug in the software some are able to exploit. Am I right?

All of the recommended posts I've noticed in the lounge had previously been in other forums.

2. That's the correct answer there.

When they took away the ability to recommend threads in the Lounge, a massive groan could be heard over the intertubes as all the rec-fairies lost their right to be impish :P
