Griffith Park Observatory: ((photos 56k beware))
Yesterday was the first time I visited Griffith Observatory since they remodeled it. I like the changes they made, although there are a few features I noticed that are no longer there that I wish still were. Nevertheless, I think it is better overall today than it was before.

Besides the two photos below I posted several other photos from yesterday's visit.

1. My dear Xicano!
These are wonderful pics!

I haven't been up there since they reopened, and your pictures make me want to go!

The views from there are phenomenal when the skies are clear...

Thank you for these!

4. Hi CaliforniaPeggy.
Thanks, and I glad you enjoyed the pics. I remember after they had finished and reopened the observatory you could only get there by taking a shuttle bus from another parking lot in Griffith Park so I never really bothered. But now its like before, you can just drive up to it.

Take care,

:hi:

3. Your photos are excellent.
I haven't been there since the 1960s, but it was a favorite spot of mine, and I visited it many, many times in my childhood and teen years, even on dates, of all things.

It has changed mightily, I see. Next time I'm in California, I'm going to make a point to visit again.

5. Thanks MineralMan
The one thing I still wish they had there, which they don't any more, is the Laserium. But at least we still have it in the neighborhood. They just moved it down into Hollywood.

Here's a link: http://www.laserium.com/

:)

Peace,
Xicano
