About to start cooking dinner. What do you think of my menu?
Beer can chicken seasoned with Cavender's All-Purpose Greek Seasoning
Lemon Risotto (with lots of Italian flat leaf parsley!)
Butternut Squash sauteed in olive oil and butter with a little garlic and sage.

I'm pretty psyched! :woohoo:

1. That sounds pretty good!
Yummmmm!

I am marinating some lamb chops in a homemade Greek marinade for tonight's meal (this is the only way I can stand to eat lamb, marinated and grilled or broiled)

Thanks to the clue about Cavender's, will have to look for some...

2. It's great stuff.
For a quick meal, I like to sprinkle some on tilapia fillets and microwave them for a minute or two. :9

4. It's a technique for roasting a whole chicken on a grill,
but being an apartment dweller, I'm doing it indoors today.

http://www.barbecuebible.com/featured/recipe/basic_beercan_c.php

In a nutshell, you put a half a can of beer in the cavity and stand it up on the can and chicken legs like a tripod on a grill set up for indirect heat. It comes out crispy on the outside and moist on the inside every time, and it's dead simple with minimal effort required.

I'm an apartment dweller myself, maybe I'll give this a try.

the beer can cooking method, with a nice bowl for catching the drippings. I put white wine in the 'beer can' with garlic cloves

10. That looks really cool!
The one thing I don't like about the beer can method is that you don't get any drippings or pot liquor for making a sauce. It looks like your device gives you the best of both worlds.
