Stupid question of the day: cell phones

I'm finally going to switch to CREDO (I just got an email from them with a great deal. :) )

I don't anticipate texting a ton or actually sending out many emails via the phone. I do want to be able to check email and browse online. I won't be playing games or anything. Just very basic stuff. :)

Is there some benefit with a Blackberry versus a flip phone that can have web access that I'm missing?

I like the flip phone; the Blackberry seems clumsy (well, for me...I'm afraid I'll be pressing shit left and right without meaning to with it all "exposed" as it is...lol). I don't know that the QWERTY keyboard will be all THAT beneficial for now. If I start to type a ton, that's a different story.

Is there something I'm missing? I can do what I want just fine with a Samsung flip phone, right?

On the other hand, I guess if I get one of those skins, that may prevent my clumsiness from affecting phone use?

Thanks for humoring me with my silly question of the day. :)
