Poll question: There are notices on every bulletin board at my daughters college about the
30 second siren test every Saturday at 10AM. I asked my daughter what the siren was for. She has no no idea. So, if the siren goes off and it's not 10AM on a Saturday, it means

On edit: the closest I ever saw to a riot at my university was when the fire department tested the dorm alarms just as the season premiere of Friends was coming on. Half the students would not leave their rooms until they shut the power off too.

of course, that is what it is. in amarillo, .... tornado warning. but in light of recent shootings and dealing with kids "lockdown" schools. hm.... intersting to know though.
