6. Well.. At least "Road Construction Season" is over early. .
(according to Wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_Minnesota "To many outsiders, Minnesota's winters appear to be cold and inhospitable. Even among Minnesotans, a common expression is that there are only two seasons, Winter and Road Construction."

7. Hmmm. Looks like it is about time to put my house here in FL up for sale again.
If it's a tough winter this year up in the northern latitudes, I may actually be able to sell it this year.

8. At least the snow stopped before it took down all the trees.
Here in Upstate New York we've had problems in recent years in the Fall with wet snow hitting the trees before the leaves drop and in the Spring with ice storms coating the tree limbs. The storms tend to cover small areas, maybe 100 square miles. Once the sun comes out and melts the ice or snow, the trees really do look like they've been bombed. That's a cliche that gets used after every weather disaster, but a lot of trees get reduced to 20ft stumps. Getting all the power back on is a pain, also. Imagine wires down on every street with a lot of the wires from the main line to the individual houses down, too.
