1. Absolutely. I've started watching a number of shows because of it.

Noticed "The IT Crowd" on the shelf at K-mart, or some store like that. I've always liked Graham Linehan's other work, so I thought I'd give it a go. Because of this show, I've since plowed my way through:

FM
Garth Merenghi's Darkplace
Man to Man with Dean Learner
Snuff Box

Working on series 1 of "The Mighty Boosh" now.

2. I'm digging into the other shows,

and I just learned that some German station tried to make an exact copy of the 'IT Crowd,' which failed big time.

I don't know if it was ever shown in the US since there was the attempt to make an US version of it, only keeping Richard Ayoade as one of the original characters, but it failed, also.
