2010 Tour de France route revealed
http://www.velonews.com/article/99227/2010-tour-route-unveiled

No Team Time Trial and only one individual TT, but it's a long one.
Tougher mountain stages, but no Alp d'Huiz or Mount Ventoux.
Cobbles in Belgium.
I thought last years race was a bit of a bore. The Giro was more interesting, but we shall see next summer.

2. Yer damdably right, last years race was a bore ... to watch on tv,
the idea about bicycles is that you are supposed to get out there and ... ride them.
Not sit and watch them on tv.
I never understand that mercans think that 'sport' is sitting in front of the boob tube guzzling beer and woof woof woofing.
(Read baseball, football, golf, basketball, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseum.)

4. blah, blah, blah
aren't you a mercan?
What is wrong with wanting to see the best athletes of a sport perform?
Besides, I spend plenty of time in the saddle.

3. The Tour has been my favorite TV event for years...except last year.
Lets hope 2010 is covered better. Phil, Al and Bob are great but I think the sponsors have made them into product puppets. I turned the 2009 tour off. Most of the viewing was ads. Phooey!

5. Watching the Tour helps motivate me for my own riding
if I can see the riders (doped or not) going at that pace, it encourages me to go faster (without drugs of course). I like that it is live in the morning (local time) which still leaves much of the day for riding.

6. I've tried to keep cadence on my rollers
Not speed but pedal cadence, even that is hard.
