My cat is staring at me.
The laptop is in my lap and she wants to be.

1. I've found that if I stare just as intently at my cat
he'll look away ;)

3. Laptops are not actually supposed to be on the lap. They can't cool
properly that way. They need an air space underneath. Put it on a stand, a table or something, and let the cat get on your lap.
PS It's more fun.

4. I have a small lap table with ventilation.
It isn't *on* my lap, but on a fancy schmancy platform thingy.

The cat has given up - She is now carrying a sock around the apartment :)

...or your soul.

One can never be sure with cats.

7. That may not be such a good sign
They do spend much of their time thinking carnivorous little thoughts...

8. She's just wondering when you'll be off the laptop so she can check her email.
