My adorable son, a junior in high school, just got back from the game and the dance.
"How'd the game go?" I asked, knowing we'd won (a KICKASS win, if I do say so myself). "Great. We crushed their winning streak and lengthened ours," he said. "How was the dance?" I asked next. "Oh. Awkward," he responded. "Why? What happened?" "I pretty much got molested by a bunch of hot senior girls," he told me, blushing but pleased.

Ack! It's finally happening. He's always been adorable but the girls have been shy. Now... he's being... molested? Heh.

Sigh. And they grow up.

My, um, baby boy:

14. Juergen. Excellent memory.
And yeah, he is. You can't tell because he's very tall and lean, but he's buff as hell. He's always asking me to punch his stomach or pinch his calf or feel his pecs. Men, even at sixteen; they're all the same! :loveya:

19. He's an Episcopal Deacon near Boston -
Praying is his best trick.

They are great kids, and a great family.

for a chance to go out with him.

I'm glad he had a good time tonight.

8. Thanks, aA!
I know it. I've always known it, even when they were making fun of him in third grade for sitting like his father, with his legs crossed. He's also brilliant and very kind, which can't hurt.

9. Thanks, busybl.
When he was a baby we called him "Buddha Boy" because he was so sweet and peaceful. He still is, except for his wicked wit. :hi: And, welcome to DU. I haven't seen you before. :)

5. Cute kid!
I've got a cutie (well, two cuties, one of each gender) on my hands, as well. My son is 12 and the girls are indeed taking note of him.

12. Thanks!
It is fun, and bittersweet. Sometimes I wish I could "freeze" them at young ages. Oh well ...

I also have a ten year old son and as wonderful as he is, I look forward to watching him grow as I've watched my oldest son grow. It's amazing.
