I know it's a frivolous show, but dammit, I liked kicking back on Fridays with a glass of wine, my kitties, and the show. My mom and sisters watch. We'd talk about it over the weekend. Sometimes I can even get my husband to watch on occasion, if I'll sit through the latest Stargate episode he wants to see. I don't want to get into a big movie on Fridays, I just want to unwind and watch something lightweight.

Is it asking too much for TLC to air some reruns? Because their damn "Say Yes to the Dress" show sucks. I don't want to see a zillion episodes of women bitching about their wedding dresses.

1. what??
Why?

I was in the same mood tonight. I rarely get to see Stacey and Clinton anymore, and they were gone!

That's a stupid thing. Friday nights is WNTW!

2. the TLC site says "returns in 2010" and the last damn month
they've been showing the damn wedding dress show.

Pisses me off. They should rerun the earlier 2009 episodes.

Friday night is WNTW. Period.

3. You should be more irritated that TLC
is suing Jon Gosselin to keep that shitty JON & KATE on TV. Booooooo, TLC.

13. They're not suing him...
for that. From what I heard, it's all the unauthorized interviews he's been doing. Apparently his contract has an exclusivity agreement that says any interviews have to be approved by TLC. Maybe we'll get to finally have a night where he's not on tv, spouting nonsense :)

5. "What Not To Wear" doesn't involve a family.
Maybe they're retooling it to add Stacey and Clinton's partners or parents.
:P

10. I have been noticing that, too.
It seems all they have on these days are shows about babies, families with litters of babies or freak-show families of numerous forms (See Goslins, Duggars...) I expect they're working on a show with the Heenes as I type this.

6. I love Say Yes to the Dress - I like the family dynamics of it...
I'm not really a big fan of What Not to Wear- they have such a condescending attitude, even if the women usually look pretty good afterwards.

7. That's how I felt when they totally wrecked "Trading Spaces"
That was the best show until they started messing with it. Firing Paige was the first and biggest nail in their coffin.

I like WNTW, too. I don't hunt for it like TS, but it is a good show.

I agree with you about SYTTD. Bridezillas is much better in a Train Wreck TV sorta way. :D

9. The BBC version is better...
The TLC show is a rip-off of it. But, TLC now features a show with the original hosts called "Making Over America With Trinni and Suzannah." I have not seen it, but I expect it will make up for the lack of "WNTW."

It's possible that BBC-America is showing re-runs of the original "WNTW", but I haven't seen it lately.

12. And SciFi (not SyFy), History, Wather Channel, CNN, Headline News, , etc...
Cable is crap because most stations have gone far away from any meaningful content related to their names.

14. Oh, no. One of the few shows worth watching on Friday nights.
When in 2010? That's only 2 1/2 months from now.
