I just read Dawkins' "The Greatest Show on Earth" - EXCELLENT!
If you have any questions about Evolution, or if any part of it doesn't make sense - read this book. It is an excellent book describing evolution, the vast amounts of evidence (there is more evidence for evolution than there is to convict someone of a crime) and the logic and reason behind it.

If I were a HS teacher, this book would be required reading.

1. I've been listening to the audio version during my commute
but intend to add the hardback to my library.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/video/2009/sep/21/richard-dawkins-greatest-show-earth">Richard Dawkins talks about why it's time for a book setting out the evidence for evolution, when calling someone ignorant isn't an insult, and how the media have made him into a militant atheist.

2. As much as I love his politics, the real gem in this book was the Dino with two brains
One in his head, and one in his, well posterior...

Who knew Dinos could symmetrically multiprocess!

5. But I thought most men had one brain....
If they were the deluxe model, they had one at each end.....

And they usually think with the one in their pants.....

3. I'm a little over halfway through it
and loving it so far. We kind of glossed over evolution when I was in high school (and it was 20+ years ago) and I've become really interested in the subject lately, so this has been a perfect way for me to learn more about it. Highly recommended.

4. Dawkins is AOne as far as I'm concerned. He covers all the
bases all around.
People against evolution, or unable to plainly see it, frequently resort to the 'related to a monkey' epithet.
But all of mankind, with very few exceptions, seems to behave very extremely much like monkeys at best. So why deny the close relationship? I never will.
If they call me a monkey's uncle. I call them my nephew.
