1. Female Trouble by far.

The scene where the hairdresser disqualifies a woman from getting her hair at his salon because she worked for the phone company was by itself worth the price of admission. I think of that scene everytime the phone company calls me. And of course, that one one of the tamest scenes in the movie.

3. Edie, the Egg Lady...
autographed a (raw) egg for me back in the early 80's, when she was touring to promote her song, "Hey, Punks! Get Off the Grass!" I still have it...still raw....wrapped in many, many layers of bubblewrap and packed securely in a box.

I guess my favorite John Waters movie is Pink Flamingos. Second choice: Polyester (I still have the "smell-o-vision" card). Least favorite: Multiple Maniacs.

4. Polyester. Several reasons...
1) Odorama! (Stupidly, I threw away my "Odorama" card when I saw it in the theater. That might have been a collectors item)

2) "Polyester" was Edith Massey's last film appearance. It was nice to see her in this film

3) The romance between Francine Fishpaw (Divine) and Tab Hunter's character. I also liked the fact that Tab Hunter's character ran an art house drive-in theatre.:-)

12. Don't you miss Divine?
He was appearing in a play in S.F. in the early 80's, and I saw him going into a drugstore at 24th & Castro, in his bathrobe, with his nearly bald head. It was a very human moment.

Edith Massey was very nice when I met her. She was accompanied by her organist, Paul(?) Leatherman, who was very sweet and autographed a cocktail napkin for me. It was a poignant time, at the beginning of the AIDS crisis.

13. Yes, I do.
I do miss Divine. I think he would have loved being offered the part of Edna Turnblad in the musical version of "Hairspray" (and he would have been perfect).

Edith Massey just seemed to me a sweet woman.

5. Are Those.... *PUSSY* Willows?
I voted for Serial Mom (because it was one vote behind Hairspray)... but I would have voted for Hairspray if it had been behind.

7. John Waters no-smoking trailer?
Does anyone else remember seeing this? The Uptown Theater in Mpls. used to run it's obligatory "no smoking in the theater" trailer before movies. This one featured Waters, puffing away on a ciggy, talking about how GOOD it tasted but that you had to go outside if you were going to have one too.

8. Neon movies in Dayton showed that before Rocky Horror.
Every damn week. It nearly led to riots.

Stephen Dorff (woof) AND Melanie Griffith in the only movie I liked her in. :-)
