2. sympathies from me too--- I love Leonard Cohen's poetry and music
and please, please forgive me if this sounds condescending ( it's not meant to be ), but sometimes healing the body just has to come first, and as much as it sucks to be there and not at the concert, I hope that the healing that's taking place ultimately makes being there worth it. I'm sorry to hear you'll be alone though. I don't know if that's by choice or not; I hope it is , as opposed to alone and wishing someone was there ( I never feel like having people around when I'm in the hospital). I don't know if I expressed this very well; I meant only to be sympathetic and supportive.

3. I'm just bumbed that he probably won't tour again and I will have
missed the only chance I will have to see him live.

6. McCabe & Mrs Miller
This evening I just watched McCabe & Mrs Miller for the first time. Leonard Cohen did the music. He sounded so different. More folksy. But I guess his voice changed in almost 40 years.
