My youngest saw West Side Story in Spanglish on Broadway yesterday!
It was a trip with her Spanish class (9th grade). I had to get her to the school at 5:00 in the morning and they didn't get back until after 10:00 at night. The performance was at the Palace Theater. She had a blast!
Now the follow-up fun is going to be telling my wingnut mother about it. I can't wait for her to blow her top about it being in Spanglish! That should be fun. I'll just point out that Spanglish IS the third language in the USA, after Spanish and English. That should set her off.
