What a miserable and PERFECT Halloween night...cold, rainy, with howling winds...
terrible for trick-or-treating (the weather was lousy all day) so I feel bad for the kiddies, but it's perfect in terms of atmosphere.

I was watching somebody's video discussion of Silent Hill 2 on That Guy With The Glassess' website, and a violent gust of wind blew the downstairs living room door open.
Yeah, that didn't creep me out at all. Oh well, hope people are having a more interesting evening than me, at least. :P

1. it's clear as a bell here tonight
the cold will come on quickly after the sun goes down, but we're used to that.

i think my night is even less interesting than yours. i'm watching csi:ny. i love the original csi, but the spinoffs suck. of course, my choices are csi:ny, the world series or a college football game.

2. trick or treating tonight
Here, there weather is just about perfect. Compare 2 nights ago it would have been miserable.

So what are DUers handing out for treats this year?

it's amazing how small the chocolate bars are though, compared to when I was a kid.

4. It's been about 75 degrees all day today.
Sweet cool breeze, marble blue sky. Rocktober in San Francisco, Best. Month. Ever. Too bad we turn the clocks back tonight when it still feels like summer.

Unfortunately, Halloween used to be amazing here, with the Castro neighborhood (the pretty, gay hood with the great houses, cute shops and perfectly groomed landscapes) putting on a street party to end all street parties! You better believe the drag queens look forward to this all year, and have costumes to rival Broadway. But a few years ago some stupid lookie-loos brought a gun; now the police won't let anyone congregate at the intersection like they used to.

I did Halloween in Salem, Mass in 1998. Really great, you guys know how to celebrate! But tonight I'm going to my friend's party at a Middle Eastern restaurant. Not gonna belly dance, tho!

7. It's worth it.
Silent Hill 2 and 3 are both amazing games, but Silent Hill 3 is much better if you play Silent Hill 1 first.
:hi:

Yeah, I'm not sure how I got into TGWTG (might've even seen it talked about on DU or linked to it from the Angry Video Game Nerd's site), but I love it. Really into Linkara and The Nostalgia Critic especially.

9. I got stuck! I got to the hotel ( towards the end) and I couldn't figure out
a certain puzzle....I just quit at that time. It had something to do with a music box or something that I just didn't know what to do with

10. The music box puzzle. Oh yeah, that's annoying
If you happen to pick the game back up, as I remember it, you need three music boxes, and the placement is important.

15. Or smoggy...
:P
But I mean, what's it like to live in an area where there's no real huge difference between the seasons? I don't think I could stand it...

In the Winter it rains. The rest of the time..no. But there are winter days when it doesn't rain
and its not too bad to be outside. Oh, and we don't get smog here.. cause of the winds from the Ocean and the bay.
