I secretly enjoy holidays... anyone else like this?

I would be the firt person to tell you that the 31st is the same as the 30th. I'd say solstices are at certain time but not dated. The first frost happens all over at different times. Love isn't different on Feb14. The indians didn't have turkey on the 4th Thursday in November. Etc. yada yada

But.. when we do have these dates, I do like it. We are 40 exactly.. just as long as we are 40 and one day.

All days are cool.

the peace on earth and goodwill towards men crap and all that ;)

for as much negativity i feel around the holidays (the consumerism and greed that exude from some people), i do feel a bit more love around me.

At Christmas there are the worshipful, the bah-humbuggers, the excited children, the disillusioned children, the children smug about knowing and conspiring with the grownups, the compulsive shoppers, the wild decorators, the amused and not so amused Jewish and Muslims, in Louisiana the Papa Noel firebuilders, the storytellers, the carolers, the card senders, the retailers, worried and not worried, the, uh, the, uh. I forgot what my point was.
