It's a DU Paradox -- during the DST transition, you can kick threads down instead of up

As witnessed with nytemare's thread about Obama visiting her elementary school, which was timestamped at 1:59 when it had no replies, but then after I replied to the thread (and the DU Clock had done it's "fall back" to 1:00) the latest response was listed as 1:14, and the thread had been "kicked" from the top of the page to several threads down.

I thought it was cool, anyway :)

Now, that's weird!

And I'm noticing that the timestamp is out of whack too...

My computer shows 11:24 PDT...while DU shows an hour ahead!

Yup, ahead!

Truly weird.

4. Another weird thing is that

if you post after someone else has posted, but your timestamp is before their post on the thread (because of the "fall back"), your post will appear above theirs and bump their posts number back one. For instance, when I posted response #1 on this thread, Kali had already posted her response #2. (It was listed as response #1.) But my reply reordered everything. According to the reply numbers, my reply to her second post is numbered lower (currently #2) than the post of hers I'm ostensibly replying too (#4). Spooky! :rofl:

BTW, my DU time stamp is an hour ahead too--even after it's already rolled back an hour!

18. Heidi and I just guessed about the filter,

and then I looked through some threads finding other 'missing' DUers. (The gone avatars were a give-away.) So, my first thread ever was calling out the mods! :rofl:
