A license plate holder seen on a humongous motorhome today...

which was pulling a full-sized pick-up truck.

Holy cow.

:wow:

1. I believe that.
But then, I have three cars that get 10-15 mpg.

2. My dear Brickbat...
Yeah, cars are one thing...

you need them, and buying a new one with better mileage is not always possible...

13. That's why I am a proud Hummer owner.
I love my Hummer...I catch a lot of crap from people because of it, but I don't care.

14. Hah - well, I like my 100mpg or so - even if both car and motorcycle owners
look at me somewhat askance.

15. Replaced our Passat with a 10 year old Santa Fe V6, and love it.
Edited on Thu Nov-12-09 07:13 AM by old mark
Santa gets around 20 MPG, but it uses regular and is very reliable and grat to drive. Passat got around 22 MPG, used PREMIUM ONLY, expensive synthetic oil and lubes, but made up for it by not running for most of the time we had it, thus saving gas. We lost around $6500 getting rid of the Passat and were still very happy to be rid of it.
My 5th VW and certainly my last. Any concern VW ever had for their customers is long gone.

This is my second Hyundai, and I would buy another any time.
Yes, there are other things besided MPG - Donuts!
