I was actually going faster but cop was nice so it wouldn't be reckless driving. $180 fine.

I told the cop I was in a hurry to get some place before 9:30AM and he said I wasn't going to make it on time. LOL! Then he took his sweet time writing my ticket.

4. Is that supposed to be punishment or a reward?

2. My dear Minimus...
I'm sorry you got a ticket, but you know, people who get them are normally safer drivers afterwards...

5. And you deserved it.
You're lucky the cop didn't put the screws to you.

7. You got off really easy.
I always figure that the money is better in my pocket than theirs. And there are so many nutty, inconsiderate drivers these days, I find I can watch for and avoid them better if I'm driving the speed limit.

8. NEVER admit to knowlinglybreaking the law with a cop. They write down verbatim what you tell
them and the transcript is used in court if it goes to court. (At least that's what cop friends of our family in the town I grew up in told us.)

9. Why didn't you try flirting with him?
That works sometimes, or so I hear.

12. one of my models did that, inadvertently...
she had on a slip dress but was commando underneath... she took her seat belt off to fish the registration out of the glove box, and didn't notice that she'd slipped a strap off her shoulder, so when the officer came up to the car, her left breast was basically exposed. He made some comment right away, and she covered up, and he gave her the usual "you know how fast you were going?" bit and asked to see her license and registration.

Then I guess he said that he'd let her off with a warning if she'd let him see it again, so she gave him a quick flash and was allowed to go on her way. She felt kind of sick about it afterward, but couldn't afford the ticket.

This woman has posed nude countless times and been published, so she's no prude, but his request really made her feel cheapened.

10. With almost every jurisdiction using traffic tickets as
the latest "revenue enhancer," I'm obeying speed limits religiously these days. I don't have any spare cash.

11. I thought I had crossed into the 45 mph zone so I really didn't
think I was speeding that much. I don't have the spare cash either but I did the crime so I got to pay the fine.
