2. The link has some great stuff.

Marvin's radio program was cool.

I never knew he had a radio program like this.

My father had a fight with Marvin at Democratic convention here in Houston when they were both young.

They were fighting over the microphone.

6. Houston paved the ditches.

Saw it on Google Earth. The ditches where I used to play as a kid. Toads, turtles, minnows, lizards, bullfrogs, crawdaddies, water moccasons, garter snakes. Broken glass. Old bike frames. Weeds. First cigarettes. Fucking sucks.

8. I'm still looking for pics like that and found this:

North Freeway (IH-45) / North Loop (IH-610) Interchange

May 1961 - Aerial view looking north

I looked it up and that "ditch" in the lower left corner is Little Whiteoak Bayou.

10. Little White Bayou was pretty.

I wish the bayous would have been left natural.
