2. I saw it a few hours ago. Loved it...
The fast zombies were different than the more laborously moving ones of the original. And some of the dark humor and social commentary of the first takes different forms in this one. But I really liked it. Much less sadistic than the Texas Chainsaw remake.

Mekhi Pfeiffer, Ving, Rhames and Sarah Polly are all great in it. Some really great scenes. I am a diehard horror buff and I highly recommend it.

saw the original many times back in h.s., but not sure if the remake will spoil it. (as so many remakes do)

Peace!

5. Saw it. Loved the original NOLD. This movie rocks.
Very well acted. Suspense and action well done. Mucho actual HORROR too. I think most of us can agree on the single most horrifying thing in the movie... can't discuss now though or it will be a spoiler!

I saw the movie last night, and I was thinking today about all those people who didn't stay to watch the credits. I normally don't, but I'm glad I did this time.

(Edited to write the above in white in case it qualifies as a spoiler. Thanks for the tip.)

I'm not easily scared, but this movie scared me, mostly because of the hopelessness of it all. Being trapped in a mall surrounded by zombies with no hope of rescue? And it jumps into the action so quickly!

I thought it was visually appealing, too. Some of the shots were just really cool, especially all those overhead ones, like when she's driving home at the beginning of the movie.

I'd definitely recommend it.

14. What did you think was the most frightening thing?
I've seen you mention it in 2 posts but for the life of me I don't know what scene you are talking about.

9. I just saw it too
I thought it was pretty good. Very similar the movie from a few months back called 28 Days Later, but with less plot and more gore.

10. I liked the new DOD better than 28 days.
More plot is not always better. I thought DOD was just a more taut, thrilling ride. The dramatic stuff worked for me too. Call me crazy, but the most horrifying thing in the movie (I HOPE WE CAN ALL AGREE) was also poignant, at least leading up to what happened.
