Any experiences buying a new car on "Black Friday"?

My wife and I had our old Ford Taurus die recently and have made due with one car for a few months. I've put off buying a second car due to economic necessity but have heard repeatedly that "Black Friday" is the single best day of the year to buy a new car. So I was wondering if anyone had experiences to share on how car shopping on that day went, what to look out for, etc.

2. In our area there is

a small movement to make Black Friday a "Buy Nothing Day". If you do your homework, any day is a good day to buy a car, if that's what you want to buy.
