What the heck does your DU buddy list do?

I am asking it here in the lounge instead of ATA, because basically I don't care if you give real answers. I just want some answers and bogus ones are welcome. (it would be nice if I got one real answer, but I'm not going to cry about it.)

1. It enables you to send DU mail to that person

without having to search for posts authored by that person, or going through the profiles.

2. that isn't very exciting at all

Next DU drive we should add some kind of neat features to the buddy list in that case.

3. I asked for a search feature linked to it, like last 24 hrs or so

but that was turned down for fear of stalking, which is a pretty lame answer IMO.

6. Well I can see their point,

but they could make it some kind of reciprocating type thing. That way the other person would have to agree to have their posts in the last 24 hours accessible to anyone else.

I do think it is somewhat a lame answer since any member can just do search anyway if they are trying to stalk someone.

I had just about given up on finding a "real" answer in here!

Yes, I know where to set it, but didn't because I didn't know even what it did.

So, I guess I'll go set it now, because I don't get very many PM's, they are usually in response so a direct question I ask someone, and it IS a bit of a bother to keep going back to check, or worse yet not finding a message someone sent me weeks before.

Actually, I would like to have the option to get an e-mail on ANY PM, but I don't see that option.

I don't think there is an option where you can get an e-mail for every response. I guess that's a feature that we can ask the admins for next time they ask our input. :)
