"At the end of the day" is driving me insane!
Edited on Sun Dec-13-09 07:19 PM by denem
(It's a short trip)

It's gone way beyond
'The reality is'
'The bottom line'
'outside the box'
and all the other little horrors.

What did we say before this mush?
'At the end of the day', have our
expressions changed so much that
that .. Oh I don't know.

Help!

1. I blame the British.
I think, I noticed it from British TV--that and the internets-- before it got spread all the way
down to American Athletes. All the coaches and players have been infected.

Going Forward we'll one day be exclaiming 'Cor Blimey!' ("FFS"<-- more from the British.)

2. LOL
Several months ago, on a British sci-fi forum, one of the regulars said a yank came up with the phrase... :D

Personally, I'll agree that the Brits came up with it first... :D

5. Yup. That expression should always be followed by...
..."it gets dark."

8. At the end of the day
is when all has been said and done. Of course, there's been more said than done.

9. Well, "to put it in perspective"...
I was at meeting today where the division president must have used that phrase twenty times!
