Edited on Tue Dec-29-09 09:03 PM by Rising Phoenix
Do you know what I mean.....that perfect 15 mins of drunk or high when ideas flow, epiphany arise, you can change the world....and then it is gone......

2. And me I wake up the next day
a lingering memory of what I thought was genius and realize I am much smarter after my morning smoothie.

4. I once solved world hunger
I had been up for 9 days straight when it happened. If only I had had the forethought to write it down before I finally went to sleep, we could have been one step closer to solving all the problems.

5. Maybe we should learn more about our brain waves
and we could develop ways to open our minds so we could have more of these experiences.
Here's just one article of many-

When actually drunk or high "artificially", one usually 'comes to' and discovers the thrilling masterpiece isn't as good as it seemed :o

6. It's a state that anyone who is serious about creating art tries to achieve.
The very tricky trick is to know just how much/little to imbibe to get there.

Too little, and you're not even glimpsing the promised land.

Too much, and you're dead.

7. I can get there sober, too
But the problems are a lot more finite, and, when the magic does work, the solutions are a lot more pedestrian, i.e. "heli-coil" rather than "laser welder".

8. me too, and I always have my wits about me enough to write down, sketch my ideas
however, you never know when the sober genius is gonna come.

the artificial way is an attempt to force it, but rarely are the results as good, but at the time......well its genius
