...what exactly does it mean when posters "kick" a thread? You know, with the :kick: ...

1. It brings it back to the top of the forum list
of threads so people see it on the first page of threads.

11. Well, sometimes.
And sometimes it means a bunch of busy threads pushed down an interesting thread that mostly got missed and needs a helping hoof.

Sometimes it's just for fun.

15. if you read the "latest" threads, it will mean nothing to you . . .
but if you go to the individual boards, the posts are listed differently, and a kick sends that particular thread back to the top of the list . . . in case anyone missed it . . .
