My best news of 2009: Soundgarden reunites!!
I just heard this a hour ago and I am f***ing stoked!! They are one of my favorite bands and definitely my favorite of the 90s. I know, there should be bigger/better things to celebrate but seriously, I can't think of much.

1. Where did you hear this?
I'd love to see them back together, but last I heard it wasn't very likely. And that last Cornell solo album? Don't even get me started on that piece of crap.

3. Cryptic, but seemingly positive news.
I pretty much think that there hasn't been anything new in the music world worth listening to since Soundgarden broke up, so a reunion would be welcome.

Not that I give a fuck if its "commercially successful" or not. I saw these guys playing on the back of a flatbed truck at Lakefair back in the 80's and I'd be just fine with seeing them like that again.

Or seeing Nirvana in someone's fucking living room, though that one is sadly no longer possible.

4. I just found out about this.
Holy fuck, that is awesome. I never did get to see them live, so if they tour anywhere near D.C., I'm there.

6. Not a big fan, but it's huge news
Congrats to you on getting one of your favorites back. That's an exciting thing.
