it's around -10 and my husband was going to walk to work so he wouldn't have to wake me up
he said i looked too cozy to wake up and drag out into the cold. i'm :loveya: because that's the kind of sweet guy he is, but i'm also a bit :eyes: because that's the kind of ridiculous guy he can be.

i woke up when he kissed me goodbye and, after telling him it was sweet to offer to walk, i told him that i was not going to let him walk to work in this cold.

his work is only a couple of miles away and he usually walks or bikes, but i'd much rather get up early than have him walk in the ass-biting cold.

It sounds like a functional relationship.

Hold on to it. They're rare.

7. In the winter months, I occupy my wife's side of the bed while she gets ready for bed,
so her spot is nice and warm when she gets in.

We've been married almost 20 years.

Vermont Soapstone bed warmer

First patented by us in the 1860's and in use for generations, your new soapstone bed warmer will provide years of no maintenance service. Soapstone's unique heat storing ability allows you to heat it in the evening and enjoy a slow release of the heat all night long.

* First; attach the handle … or not.
Simply spread the handle and insert into the side holes, this is optional.
* Second; heat.
In years past the bed warmer would have been hung by the fireplace or wood stove all day. Today heat it to 105-110 degrees in the oven or even place on a sunny window sill for the day. The only thing we don't recommend is a microwave. The correct temperature is that you want to be able to handle it, but not hold it.
* Third; use.
Run across the bed sheets to warm them, wrap in a blanket or towel and place at the foot of the bed, lower your thermostat, save energy and enjoy a comfortable nights sleep.

Each bed warmer is hand made, finished and shipped to you postage paid (US). $42.50 each.

16. oooh, let's trade.
I woke up at 4am freezing, couldn't find the sheets.

This afternoon he has the nerve to tell me he figured out where they disappeared to and it wasn't his fault - that they had just worked their way to his side of the bed and he was sleeping on top of them. WTF, if you are sleeping on top of all the sheets, how is that NOT your fault? It's not like someone broke into our house, gently lifted him up and slid all our bedding under him.

19. Walking is the best exercise. No air pollution involved in it either.
Very good that mostly he walks it or bicycles. But also very good for his health.
