I don't really mind moving the trip. It will be warmer then anyway.

I am not as scared this time but I hope the ladies remember I am a "hard stick" I almost passed out last time. This time I hope it is just smooth and easy.

1. Good luck.
How many times do you have to go through this? and how often?

Mine are chemo but not like yours. Its zometa and is to keep the cancer from going into the bones. It is every six months for the rest of my life I guess. Going to talk to my GP this Monday to see if I can do something different. There are problems that I want to ask her some questions about and hope to have them cleared up. This does get harder with time it seems.

2. I think we go to every 8 weeks after this
don't know if it is for a year, or for the rest of my life. After this round, I don't have to go back until March

6. Rebel, I am sorry you have to take this. How long have you been doing it?
what was the original diagnosis?

I will be sending good vibes and prayers that your questions will be answered.

9. thanks all
this is hopefully the treatment that works. Nothing we have done the last 2 years has worked and some may have caused the pancreatitis. If the chemo keeps me from taking 18 pills a day, I will not complain.

If this doesn't work, or if eventually it stops working, the next step is to remove part of my colon. I do not want that.

Additionally, I was told this week that I could become diabetic as a result of the recurring bouts of pancreatitis. I hope not. I am not good with needles.

11. I think it is working but I can also tell when it is close to the next round
the pain is greater and the RR urgency is more pronounced.

This next round will be stronger and then it will be every 8 weeks.

I am just thankful that 1. this is available and 2. I don't lose my hair like those taking Chemo for cancer. I have noticed more hair in the tub but it is not a huge amount.

I sure don't want surgery to remove parts of my colon, although when I was in the hospital, I wouldn't have cared if that had happened.

Over all, things seem better, but I still get really exhausted.
