2. This past Christmas, Amazon was featuring a "DVD Box Set Deal of the Day"...

...and on one of the days I clicked over there, it was "The Complete Ally McBeal," and I thought PLEASE Dear God...let me NEVER meet the man or woman who owns one of these. And if I must, make sure I meet them in a public place with easy-access escape routes in all four directions.

I don't watch too much TV (who has time for TV with all
this Intertubin' going on?), but I remembered going out
of my way to watch Ally McBeal. Funny and I THINK one
of the first "modern" shows to use fantasy sequences
(dancing baby notwithstanding) -- "Scrubs" took this to
a higher level -- sometimes breaking the fourth wall to
directly address the audience.

Richard Fish's wattle fetish? THAT was funny!!!

I think of it as a fore-runner to "Boston Legal", which
I really, really like (no, I'm not an attorney... though
I watch people play one on TV).
