2. 92/100
I wonder if my ad/script/flash blocking is causing FF to get a lower score than it might otherwise.

25. According to Microsoft
Internet Explorer 8 passes more of the World Wide Web Consortium's test cases than any other browser.

Microsoft made a big commitment to standards with Internet Explorer 8. In addition to passing more of the official CSS 2.1 test suites than any other browser, Microsoft got really hands-on in the overall testing process by developing and contributing thousands of new tests for the consortium.

But what does that really mean? It means that developers will be able to spend more time designing cool new features for their site, and less time tweaking code for specific browsers. Microsoft put significant effort into make sure sites still work, even if they're designed for older versions of Internet Explorer, by giving users a Compatibility View button.

At the end of the day, Internet Explorer 8 truly is more reliable than ever.

And in other MS news, a US security research firm has found another set of vulnerabilities within Internet Explorer, only a day after Microsoft released an emergency software update: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/microsoft/7073888/Internet-Explorer-hit-with-new-set-of-security-flaws.html

12. I got 71/100
for Firefox but I think it's my PC more than my browser. It was slightly less than $200 and I have to enter codes to download stuff. Also my system requirements doesn't allow me to do certain things like videos that require flash.

"This website wants to run the following add-on: 'MSXML 3.0 SP10'from 'Microsoft Corporation.' If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here...

IE only scored a 13/100. Firefox, which I normally use, scored 94/100.

Chrome crapped out, probably because it's a weird build

Arora got 100/100, that was surprising for a lightweight.

30. Well, compliance isn't the only consideration
Opera is great (and so is Chrome) but I really, really like Firefox's ability to be almost infinitely customizable. The important thing is that no one using any of those browsers will get screens that look like this:

40. I just tried this on IE 8 and it won't load the page.
Half an hour later and it was still trying! What the hell is going on with it? I've had the same trouble with before and can't figure out what's going on, whether with the settings or whatever to make it work. Not that I use it much at all, but sometimes there is that odd page that won't work properly in Opera, so I have to fall back to IE... and wait :eyes:
