Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

So I took yesterday off. It was wonderful. I could relax and charge my batteries again. I also did some household chores. It snowed from Sunday to Monday, so I was extra glad not to get out there :)

Saturday evening we didn't go dancing but went out for dinner to a Persian restaurant. Damn, that was yummy!!!!

Yesterday I finally took my Christmas stuff down to the basement. I have a small box there (remember I live in a big house with a lot of people). Guess what, someone broke into my basement. Nothing but the flashlight I keep there was stolen. It still pisses me off. Makes no sense to call the police though. I let the janitor know about it.

And I get a cold ... oh great ....

I'm doing rather well today, just tired but I cannot get to sleep.

Things in life are picking up, it appears my wife and I might be having/getting a child soon(adoption).

I'm glad none of your stuff was stolen.

Drink lots of fluids today and don't let that cold get a hold of you.

Cute picture, gorgeous kitty.

I hope Deb is doing well. I really should email her even if it's just to say hello.

6. Good morning MissHoneychurch!
:hi:
I'm tired and will be getting my rest soon. I made the mistake of taking a nap today, so I've been up all night. Maybe I won't sleep very long and can turn my cycles around again...

That really sucks about your things being stolen! I'm afraid I didn't know you were in a big house (with the mention of a janitor, I thought you were in an apartment.) Did you lose many things?

I hope the day gets better for you, too

Ahhh ... I love naps. It sucks that I can't take them during work

10. Okay, that explains the janitor part
:D

As for taking naps at work, you have to learn how to "sleep" with your eyes open as you use your computer :P

Although, you might use headphones, some binaural beats-laced music, and relax that way, too :)

:D

As for music ... in the afternoons when I am alone in the office and the reading room is empty, I turn on my iPod and listen to my music. Helps to pass the afternoon a little bit faster.

And now is time for the lunchbreak :woohoo:

11. Good morning MissH!
We missed you yesterday, but I'm glad you got a chance to rest and even do some household chores. Sorry to hear about your cold though. Hope it goes away fast.

Simon is I just beautiful. I got the pleasure of babysitting my neighbors cat last weekend. Well, just went over there and cleaned the little box and had some interaction. She's only 5 months old so she is still a little shy.

My weekend was uneventful, which I guess is good. Last night I was out with friends and going out this evening with a different set of friends. So needless to say, I'm having no problem sleeping.

I ought have stayed home today too. But the work conscience was too strong :eyes:

I just got me NyQuil and DayQuil. I know it won't make the cold go away but at least the symptoms will be suppressed. (not sure it is the correct adjective in this context)

Ohh ... lucky you to catsit :) Will you be able to do it again?

22. You know MissH,
that's what sick days are for, stay home and recoup. In my new department they encourage people to stay home if they are sick, not like in my old department.

NyQuil and DayQuil are godsends. That stuff works for me too.

Yes, I'm sure I'll be cat-sitting when needed. I told my neighbor that I'd play with her cat so she wouldn't feel so lonely and when I went to find her she was sitting in a chair all curled up in a cozy ball. But . . . she had the same coloring/markings (while curled up) as my dearly departed cat and I let out a small gasp.

27. Oh, I know what you
mean. Sometimes even if the reason is legitimate, it's tough not to go into work.

;) Although I simply ADORE cats, I'm just not ready for one again. My life is to sporadic, too spontaneous. I'd be afraid the poor cat would be home alone more often then should be.

Gotta head out to work, so wishing you a GRAND day!

31. Same here
I adore cats and would love to have one or two. But I am coming home late sometimes, it wouldn't be fair. Even though since I work at the groceries store I am not gone over the weekends as often as I used to. Hmmmmm .... maybe me needs to rethink that ...

You have a great day yourself

At least it was just a flashlight, but I'm sorry anything was taken!

Do you have a busy week or will things be calm?

It is more the bad feeling that someone went into my basement than the flashlight.

Since it is my first day of the week today I can't say yet. It is quiet regarding customers but there are still a bunch of books to be cataloged. How about your week?

24. Hello Miss Honeychurch!
:hi: :loveya:

Glad you got your batteries charged. I am pretty tired today too, so I hope to recharge and be myself by tomorrow. It doesn't help we are having another cold snap.

That is rotten that you got your stuff stolen...isn't the building locked? I would make a police report, because you never know if they might recover your items. Years ago I had a bike stolen in Key West, the number one crime here. Everyone told me don't bother to report it but I did. One year later, they busted a big stolen goods ring and guess what? My bike was found!

Big hug though, that is very upsetting to have things stolen from you.

If they'd stolen more than the flashlight I would have called the police. But the flashlight isn't worth it. Well, I guess it was someone from the building. I know that my neighbor is stealing ... the janitor told me that. My basement box is locked and no one can see inside. Guess whoever broke in thought there might be worthful stuff in there. Guess they were wrong.

Glad you got a break, get some rest. :boring: Sorry to hear about your storage room. :(

Dad is home from the nursing home, but now he has to take care of himself. This means not eating the stuff that he'd rather eat, which helped cause the problem, and exercise. He's not going to like it. :(

I think I have some more cat photos. I'll have to post them.

The cooking will go to mom. They still live in the house we grew up in. Unfortunately, they can't climb the stairs anymore. Getting old and sick sucks, so take care of yourself while you're young and strong.

I haven't had Persian food, but I hear that it's very good. There are some Persian restaurants nearby. :9

I'll have to find another soccer team.

40. Thanks
but, not really. I was the new guy and it was for a rather short time, 1 full season and part of another. I liked playing real soccer with a real team--not a bunch of n00bs that don't know what they're doing and I'm doing most of the running. Winning a few games is fun, too. It's no great loss. I'll just be a free agent again. I'll just carry my stack of different color shirts and find another team, just like before.
