My Mom wants me to fix her gray hair.
Recession hair, keep in mind.

She is about 65 or so. I don't actually know her real age, because she's amazingly youthful. She's my mom and she keeps her age secret!

Her hair is all white in the front and gray of various shades in the back.

She asks me for help, because I am good at dyeing my own hair.

1. There is a "Grecian Formula" type thing for women.
It works great, gradually fades out and doesn't leave
a "skunk streak" of new hair growth.

I leave the front part of my hair white and it looks
like extreme highlights.

I have a white streak in front and the rest of my hair
is brown/black/white mix.

I don't know what it's called, I had it done in a salon
and was really happy with it.

3. Use backstrap molasses...
for drinking in coffee or tea.. Will restore hair to its natural color, and provide lots of nutrition support as well.

4. I stopped by the 'rents house one day with a friend,
And there was mom, with her new purple-gray hair. Oh, and her knit top was on inside out too.

"Your mom's hair is purple!"

5. Cassia - similar to Henna - will add golden highlights to gray or white
but make sure to buy good stuff whatever you use, if you use cassia, henna or indigo. Some of it is mixed with other stuff and can ruin delicate hair.

and revel in its beauty.

Recently I decided to let my hair go gray, and give up the dye. I love it. Does it make me look older? I'm sure it does. But I love the freedom from dye and beauty shops. I'm 62. Tell Mom she's beautiful as is. She's earned every one of those gray hairs.
