Espresso Envy! My cousin has a killer automatic machine and I can't afford one.

Have you seen these cappuchino machines that grind and brew the coffee? I'm not talking about the ones that use "pods" or flavored anything (to me, if you drink flavored coffee, you don't really like coffee.) No, these automatic machines have the 19 bar pumps that give you the perfect shot with the crema on top, and you don't have to worry about spilling coffee grounds all over you kitchen. My cousin, evil woman that she is, introduced me to hers when I visited her in Victoria. But she's not hurting financially, and they run about 300.00 or more.

Trying to find a way to justify that much money for a kitchen appliance. To me, coffee is like the spice in Dune, I truly can't live without it, but I have a perfectly good little home espresso machine that dispenses my medication in a form that's plenty tasty. How do I stop myself from coveting my neighbor's (cousin's) vice?????

If "Victoria" is Victoria, BC, I'd have hometown envy. :-) I went to a conference there several years ago. I HATED to come back. I'd move there yesterday if I could.

Cold when I was there, though. Making the espresso taste that much better!!
