Now that we know the pill is poison, perhaps he is going to become like the other people in Rouso's (sp? The French woman) party?

16. I thought Rousseau's friends just joined the others.
No, wait, they were trying to kill her. Sheesh, all this time I just thought her saying they were sick meant they joined the Others and she was nuts. No, she was right; they were sick with (I'm guessing) the cloud monster disease. How did Sayid get it, from the water? But the Temple Others put him in the water to begin with.

This is all nuts. For the first time I'm starting to wonder if the ending is going to disappoint me.

20. last season...
When Jin appeared was with her group, they went to the temple and the guy got his arm pulled off there (this seasons skeleton), then everyone but her went down into the temple. Then Jin moved in time again and they were out and... sick... different... enough that she killed them all.

22. Right, I just rewatched that ep last week. Remember that her husband tried to shoot her first.
She only shot her husband after he pointed his gun at her and pulled the trigger. Only his gun was empty (she used the same trick on Sayid in season 1); then she shot him dead, like the other two (who'd been out there dead long enough to gather flies).

Since Season 1 I'd been sure she just killed them because they'd joined the Others, but I'm wondering now if the Temple Others are the same batch as the Richard/Whitmore/Ben Others.

Since we first saw that guy dressed in black in that first seen with Jacob, I've been expecting him to come back. But is he the smoke monster/Locke? Or is he Richard Alpert? And/or is he Christian Shepherd (a rather loaded character name).

27. I seem to remember...
That Ben sent a bunch of the others to the temple right after the attack on the "town" when they killed his daughter. I was thinking they were those others.

I feel confident the not locke character is the guy in black, he is definitly the smoke monster and also probably Christian Shepherd but not Richard.

28. Maybe Sayid is the new host for Jacob now that Jacob's dead.
After all, dead Jacob directed Hurley to take Sayid to the Temple. But the Temple is where the Smoke monster lived.

So either the Temple Others are wrong about what was taking over Sayid, in which case Sayid is not becoming like Claire, but will have to fight Claire in the neverending struggle Between Jacob and the man in black (aka "Jesus vs Johnny Cash") OR the Temple Others are the enemies of Jacob and were trying to keep him from adding Sayid to his team, which right now consists of Claire and possibly her dead father.

32. Jacob said that they cannot let Sayid die.
Because he knew the Man in Black would in some form overtake his spirit, just like he did with Claire and dead bodies all over town.

18. I've been following this show four years. I think I can wait four months for the last revelations
They'll start giving out lots of answers in the last 6-8 shows this season. They have left too many questions to just drop them all in the last two hour finale.

Just typing these words is making my nipples stand up.

23. I think if he kills Jack, the island will return to normal and we'll have our old James back.
I'll tell you who's really ruined though: Miles. He's so tame this season, he's practically taking over Hurley's job as comic relief. Remember when Miles could kick ass?

36. So if Claire was "claimed"
and Sayid has been "claimed" like Claire was, would that mean that Jack's father was also "claimed" or is he the "claimer"?

29. Great line from the Television without Pity discussion thread...
"I fear this is all setting things up so that Kate can return home to claim the child she stole, once again miraculously bathed in the magic plot water that makes her deserving of happiness."

This was posted by someone who doesn't like the Kate character.

34. It was Claire's love of her mother that got her into trouble in the first place
So maternal instincts is definitely a theme that surrounds her.

35. Next to Bill on Big Love, Jack has to be the worst leading man on TV.
Every season he makes horrible decisions.

If Jack asks you to do something... Quickly do the opposite!

38. I think that's sort of the point. The most noble guy keeps making bad decisions
One theme in the show is Locke's libertarianism vs Jack's big-nanny-statism vs Sawyer's opportunistic capitalism. Sawyer is clearly the least noble and least idea-driven of the three leaders, but he's also the one that makes the fewest bad decisions.

I don't know if that's the writers' design, but it seems to break down that way.
